About Me
A compassionate caregiver has the ability to develop and cherish long-term relationships with the families they service. My history in this field is well documented. I began care giving and working with children around the age of 16 at my neighborhood daycare. There I provided care for children from the age of 6 months to 12 years old. I continued working there as needed throughout college at Norfolk State University. I graduated in December 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies focusing on Early Childhood Education and Psychology.
In March 2018 I began servicing military families and their children at the Child and Youth Program at Naval Air Station Oceana located in Virginia Beach, Virginia. There I worked with children from the age of 5 to 12 years old. I have planned and implemented lesson plans in the Fine Arts and Health/Life Skills core areas while promoting positive interactions between children, staff, and families. I occasionally assisted at the Sharon A. Peterson Child Development Center on the same base working with children from the age of 6 weeks. My previous director will tell you I am a passionate, organized, and helpful person. In January 2021 my family made a move to San Diego, California and I started working at the Coronado Crown Child Development Center servicing the preschool age group. I was promoted to a Program Leader at Murphy Canyon Kids Connection in August 2021, then transitioned to a Program Leader at Murphy Canyon Child Development Center II. I am now an Assistant Trainer and Curriculum Specialist for Naval Base Coronado.
My love for children allows me to be patient and empathetic and I cannot express the level of excitement I have to service your family. Servicing your family will allow me to resume my successful growth in the caregiving field. I know I will make a positive impact on your family and I look forward to discussing possible services with you.
